Join team Salmon Sisters for the 100 miles challenge

Join the Salmon Sisters team for the 100 Mile challenge! The 100 Miles in May Challenge is a fundraiser for the Healthy Futures program, which works to empower Alaska's youth to build the habit of daily physical activity. We want to do our part to help everyone stay physically active and socially connected – two critical needs during this challenging time. So let's have some fun!

The Challenge starts April 1, and you can join team Salmon Sisters HERE. Salmon Sisters is donating 1 cent per mile completed by our team. You can also make an individual pledge if it's possible for you at this time.

There are 2 steps in the registration process: 1) Register for/Update an existing account and 2) Join team Salmon Sisters.

Once you've joined team Salmon Sisters, just move around inside or outside and enter your exercise into the handy online mileage converter to track your status on group, category, and statewide leaderboards!

We're recruiting our team from all over the state – we want folks from King Cove to Wrangell to join us. Share your daily movement with us on Instagram #salmonsisters100mileschallenge, you'll inspire us all to get out.

We’d also love it if you’d challenge others to join! Share the linked card and flyer to get your friends, family, and co-workers involved! Card link HERE. Flyer link HERE

We know not everyone can get outside right now, but there are many ways to be part of the challenge from your own home! Join a free online dance class, or cue up an online class with The Fitness Marshall! We'll be practicing social distancing and trying to get outside – hiking on our local trails, picking up trash in the neighborhood, cleaning up the beach and our salmon streams, riding bikes, and cross country skiing 6 feet apart! Stay safe, and stay healthy. We can't wait to move with you from afar!
